We’re looking for a Human Resource Consultant to join our Alderley-based team. In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead on recruitment initiatives while supporting broader HR functions that empower our workforce and strengthen our organizational culture.
This position offers the ideal blend of independent work and strategic collaboration with leadership to ensure HR practices align with business goals. You’ll play a key role in shaping talent acquisition, performance management, training, and engagement initiatives—creating a workplace where people thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment processes (approximately 70% of the role), ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Support broader HR activities including employee relations, performance management, and workforce development.
  • Provide expert HR advice and practical solutions to managers and staff.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational initiatives and maintain compliance with Australian employment legislation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across HR systems, processes, and culture.

What You Bring
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a generalist or recruitment-focused HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian industrial relations and employment law.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations, performance, and recruitment activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and advisory skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities, with the confidence to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and reporting tools for data-driven decision-making.

Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Experience within government, defense, or complex organizational settings.
  • Training or certification in conflict resolution or mediation.

  • Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
