We are seeking an experienced and driven HSEQ Compliance Lead to oversee compliance, safety, and environmental standards across operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that health, safety, environment, and quality systems are effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved, while also fostering a culture of safety and compliance at all levels.


About the Role:
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, with close collaboration across production, maintenance, distribution, and quality teams, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety systems, environmental management systems, and quality standards. You will act as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities, provide leadership to internal health and safety committees, and drive improvements in line with business goals and legislative requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, implement, and monitor WHS and environmental compliance across site operations
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring findings are actioned in a timely manner
  • Provide leadership and professional guidance to Health and Safety Representatives and site teams
  • Analyse and report on safety performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements
  • Oversee contractor safety management and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Maintain and review Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ensure consistency across the business
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies such as EPA, local councils, and water authorities as required
  • Support Quality and Food Safety Systems in compliance with legislation and certification standards
  • Drive a proactive safety, environmental, and quality culture across all departments
  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements

What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong background in HSEQ, ideally within manufacturing, food, or processing industries
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, WHS Management Systems (AS4801/ISO 45001)
  • Proven experience in workplace safety investigations and contractor management
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident managing compliance reporting systems
  • A proactive, hands-on leader with a genuine commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Successful applicant will be required to undergo Drug and Alcohol testing.
