Are you a skilled Heavy Duty Fitter ready to tackle challenging projects in a dynamic mining environment? We are seeking dedicated professionals to join a renowned Tier 1 mining operation on a 3-month contract. This role offers the chance to work predominantly in a well-equipped workshop on top-tier CAT and Hitachi mining equipment, with a roster designed for work-life balance
As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of heavy mobile plant equipment. If you're passionate about delivering high-quality workmanship in a safety-first environment, this opportunity could be your next career move.
Required Skills:
- Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant trade qualification
- Current Driver’s License – minimum C class
- Proven experience working with OEM equipment, especially CAT and Hitachi machinery
- Demonstrable workshop experience with hands-on expertise
- Strong commitment to safety standards
- Effective team-player with clear communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Working at Heights certification
- Forklift Licence (LF)
- High-Risk Work Licence – WP & CN
- Aircon ticket and current refrigerant handling licence
- Cert II Tyre Fitting
- Valid HR License
- Trade qualification in Heavy Mobile Plant or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in workshop and field roles involving CAT and Hitachi equipment
- This position requires flexibility to work on a 4 Day/4 Night and 4 Days/3 Night roster pattern, with extensive time off between shifts
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments and obtain necessary licenses and clearances
- Commitment to working safely and maintaining high standards in a workshop environment
