Are you passionate about health, safety, and wellbeing? We're currently seeking a proactive and organised Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Support Officer
to join a government agency undergoing realignment. This temporary AO4 role will provide critical support to the HSW team during a busy transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HSW team.
- Assist with incident investigations and hazard reports via the TABS system.
- Offer troubleshooting and user support for HSW systems (e.g. TABS, training platforms).
- Onboard new users to safety systems and tools.
- Maintain registers for Health & Safety Representatives and Emergency Control Organisations.
- Monitor compliance with mandatory HSW training and certifications.
- Coordinate annual evacuation practices and maintain associated records.
- Prepare reports for internal HSW meetings and committees.
- Minute-take and coordinate Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee meetings.
- Assist in developing and delivering training and workshops.
- Engage with stakeholders and depots to understand local HSW needs and improvements.
- Support continuous improvement and service quality initiatives.
Highly Desirable:
- Previous experience in a similar HSW or administrative support role.
- AQF Level 4 or higher qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to depot sites as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement ability.
- Sound understanding of HSW systems and policy frameworks.
