A dynamic and experienced Head of Operations is sought to lead and manage the daily operations of a vehicle fleet. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and growth of transport services, while supporting cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily fleet operations
- Ensure safe and efficient service delivery across drivers, passengers, partners, and assets
- Support the Customer Service team during staff shortages or emergencies
- Deliver training and coaching to drivers in:
- Safe and efficient driving
- Customer service
- Compliance with internal policies
- Implement and supervise promotional and sales campaigns
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations
- Expand customer networks and identify new business opportunities
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and recommend operational improvements
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimise system-wide performance
- Respond to incidents, provide remote support, and maintain accurate logs
- Monitor driver compliance with routes, safety standards, and work hour limits Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in transport operations
- Eligibility for Passenger Transport Safety certification
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- Professional driving experience (e.g. taxi, rideshare, bus, delivery)
- Proven leadership in fleet operations
- Ability to train and mentor drivers
- Proficiency in email, GPS tracking, and fleet management software
- Australian Citizenship
- Valid National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months)
- Valid and clean Australian Driver’s Licence
