General Maintenance

Chandler Macleod is seeking a General Maintenance to support the team at Baiada, Griffith.

About the role
In your new role as General Maintenance, you will support the team in:

• Perform scheduled servicing and repairs on hatchery equipment (Hatchers, Setters, box washers, Embrex machines).
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor breakdown repairs on machinery and facility infrastructure.
• Carry out electrical checks, Test & Tag, and replace lights as needed.
• Maintain air conditioning units, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
• Assist with calibration, soil and water testing, and general grounds upkeep.
• Source and manage spare parts and liaise with contractors.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor and complete general maintenance tasks as required.

About you
As General Maintenance, you will bring hands-on experience working in a fast-paced environment. In addition, you will have:

• Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role within industrial, agricultural, or processing environments (desirable but not essential).
• Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar (highly regarded).
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on tasks.
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn new skills.
