What You’ll Do:
As a FIFO Fixed Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of vital fixed plant equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing crushing circuits, including shoots, conveyors, and screens to ensure smooth material processing
- Operating and overseeing wet plant processes
- Maintaining field belts and ensuring high standards of plant housekeeping
- Performing basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve minor issues promptly
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks to support continuous operations
- C-Class Manual Driver’s Licence (HR preferred)
- Valid High-Risk Work Licence with certifications in Forklift operation (FL), Confined Space Entry, and Working at Heights (valid within 2 years)
- Proven experience operating fixed plant equipment in a mining environment
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with additional plant equipment or automation systems
- Previous FIFO experience in a mining or industrial setting
- Certifications in first aid or safety management
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience operating fixed plant equipment in a similar environment
- Flexibility to work on a 8/6 then 7/7 FIFO roster
- Ability to pass background checks and medical assessments
- Willingness to work in remote locations with strict safety and health regulations
