Our client, a leading global manufacturing organisation, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join the team based at Mount Gravatt. The ultimate responsibility of this role will be to oversee end‑to‑end financial operations and drive strategic financial performance across a complex multinational environment.
About the Role
As the Financial Controller, you will be the guardian of the organisation’s financial integrity — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment across all financial activities. You will take the lead on statutory reporting, group consolidation, taxation, working capital management, and treasury oversight, while maintaining SAP data integrity and embedding best‑practice processes throughout the finance function.
You will also operate as a trusted business partner to the CFO, contributing critical insights that support enterprise‑wide planning, commercial decision‑making, and long‑term financial strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing consolidated annual statutory financial statements and ensure timely regulatory lodgement.
- Leading audit processes and maintain strong relationships with external auditors
- Overseeing treasury operations, including cashflow forecasting and management of currency hedges.
- Managing working capital, credit lines, and banking relationships to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Supervising job costing, margin reporting, and Work in Progress analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with all tax filings and transfer pricing regulations
- Providing leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and profit planning.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in a similar position
- CA or CPA qualification
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience within the manufacturing or construction sectors
