About the Role
As Finance Officer, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable functions. You’ll be a key point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, and customers, ensuring finance operations run smoothly and professionally.
You’ll work across multiple systems and processes, helping to maintain financial integrity, compliance, and efficiency in a business that truly values its people and community.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing customer and supplier accounts including processing invoices, payments, credit notes, and reconciliations
- Handling enquiries and account queries with professionalism and a helpful attitude
- Maintaining accurate financial records, updating systems, and supporting month-end processes
- Proactively managing overdue accounts and issuing statements and payment reminders
- Reconciling bank accounts and ledgers, and ensuring accurate data entry across finance systems
- Supporting the finance team with reporting, system updates, and continuous improvement projects
- Ensuring documentation meets audit, compliance and procedural standards
- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems such as Attache, Sympac, Tweb, or Futurenet
- High accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and reconciliations
- Friendly, customer-focused approach and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and stay organised in a busy environment
