Finance Business Partner – Strategic Revenue & Forecasting

Melbourne | Transport & Logistics

This is not your traditional Finance Business Partner role.

We’re partnering with a large, complex transport and logistics organisation to appoint a commercially focused Finance Business Partner who wants to sit at the heart of strategic decision-making and influence outcomes at the executive and board level.

Rather than month-end reporting and variance explanations, this role is about forward-looking insight, owning revenue modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis that directly shapes investment decisions, pricing strategy, and long-term growth.

The Opportunity

As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will:

  • Partner closely with executive stakeholders to provide strategic financial insight that informs board and investment decisions
  • Lead revenue forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modelling across a large operational network
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling commercial narratives
  • Challenge assumptions, test business cases, and influence outcomes across growth, pricing, and capital decisions
  • Support strategic initiatives, tenders, and major commercial opportunities with robust financial analysis
This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking ahead, not looking backwards.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Manager, or similar strategic finance role
  • Strong background in revenue forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario analysis
  • Experience operating in large, complex environments (transport, logistics, infrastructure, utilities, or similarly asset-heavy industries highly regarded)
  • The confidence and credibility to influence senior leaders and contribute at board-level discussions
  • CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)

Why This Role?
  • True strategic influence,  your work directly impacts board decisions
  • Exposure to large-scale, high-value commercial decisions
  • A role with visibility, autonomy, and genuine career runway
  • Melbourne-based, with flexible working arrangements
