Position Title: Finance Business Partner
Location:  Cheltenham 
Employment Type:  8 Weeks short term, full time hours 
Pay rate: $49 p/h + super 

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
You will work closely with managers to deliver accurate monthly reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and Council policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports and variance analysis
• Support managers with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Contribute to annual reporting, including performance statements
• Manage investment portfolio in line with policy and cash flow requirements
• Ensure data integrity and recommend system enhancements
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and processes

About You

• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
• 3–5 years’ experience in financial/management accounting
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and statutory reporting expertise
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., TechnologyOne)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
