Position Summary:
The Finance Administration Officer plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the organization The role ensures financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while supporting business needs and maintaining alignment with broader organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and monitor incoming customer invoice payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the Client Accounts team by assisting with account reconciliation, billing queries, and payment allocation.
- Operate within a shadow shared services model to provide cross-functional support where business needs align.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of outstanding invoices.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with audit and reporting requirements.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- NSW State Government experience desired.
- Certificate or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in finance, accounts receivable, or administrative support roles preferred.
- Knowledge of shared services or shadow service models is an advantage.
