Chandler Macleod are seeking an experienced mining professional with a strong background in Load & Haul operations and Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS). We’re seeking a highly skilled Field Officer to support Production Supervisors in a large-scale open-pit mining environment.
About the Role:
As a Field Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency by monitoring fleet activities and maintaining the integrity of the Komatsu Frontrunner system. You’ll be responsible for technical oversight, inspecting work areas, and supporting safe and efficient production across the pit. Earn $70p/h - $75p/h + SUPER!
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimise Load & Haul operations within an Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) environment.
- Set up and inspect active work areas, ensuring compliance and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues with Komatsu Frontrunner.
- Liaise closely with Production Supervisors and key stakeholders to maintain performance metrics.
- Support coordination of autonomous fleet management in real-time.
- Previous experience in Mining Production – Load & Haul operations.
- Strong exposure to AHS environments and Komatsu Frontrunner.
- Open pit mining experience on large-scale operations.
- Desirable: Previous experience as a Pit Technician, Step-Up Mining Supervisor, or Mining Coordinator.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
