About the role
As a Farm Hand, you will play a key role in maintaining the health and welfare of chickens in the shed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily shed operations including feeding, watering, and monitoring bird health
- Cleaning and sanitising sheds and equipment to maintain biosecurity standards
- Monitoring temperature, ventilation, and lighting systems
- Reporting any abnormalities or animal welfare concerns to supervisors
- Supporting the team during bird placement and pick-up
- Maintaining accurate records of daily activities
About you
You’re a hands-on team player with a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in animal welfare. You’ll bring:
- Experience working in farming, agriculture, or manual labour (preferred but not essential)
- Willingness to work in physically demanding and dusty environments
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Reliable transport and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and hygiene standards
