About the Role

A NSW State Government department is seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support a senior executive and their directorate. This role is ideal for someone with a strong public sector background who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage competing priorities, and is confident engaging with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive support including diary management, meeting coordination, and correspondence.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the office, managing workflow and prioritising tasks.
  • Organise workshops, seminars, and meetings including logistics, materials, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and approvals.
  • Manage incoming enquiries and correspondence using internal records systems (e.g. CM9, TRIM, InReach).
  • Prepare reports, submissions, letters, and Ministerial correspondence.
  • Maintain and improve administrative systems and databases.
  • Support project-based activities including research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including senior executives and government agencies.
What You’ll Bring
  • Public sector experience is essential, ideally within NSW State Government.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive-level support and office management.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using SharePoint and document management systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Resilient, flexible, and culturally aligned with government values.
  • Experience reporting to a Director or above.
