We are seeking a seasoned and capable Executive Assistant to support a senior executive within a high-performing risk division in the financial services sector. This opportunity offers an immediate start (ideally by 14 July) and would suit a polished, proactive EA who thrives in a structured and fast-paced environment.

This is a contract role with the potential to convert to permanent for the right candidate. We’re looking for someone who is available to start without a notice period.
About the Role You will act as the critical right hand to the Chief Risk Officer, ensuring their day-to-day runs seamlessly and their time is optimised for high-level decision-making. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, sound judgment, and a high degree of discretion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Complex diary and inbox management
  • End-to-end travel bookings and itinerary coordination (domestic and international)
  • Preparing agendas, briefing packs, and follow-ups for meetings and board/committee engagements
  • Monitoring budget records, corporate card expenses, and office workflows
  • Drafting correspondence and assisting with communication flow
  • Acting as liaison with key stakeholders, internal teams, and other senior executives
  • Supporting broader organisational initiatives and divisional events
  • Exercising initiative and handling delegated responsibilities during executive absences
What We’re Looking For You’re a confident and experienced EA who has supported C-suite or senior-level leaders, ideally within banking, financial services, regulatory, or risk-based environments. You know how to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and create calm in high-pressure situations.

To be successful, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in senior executive support
  • High-level professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and multitasking ability
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe Pro
  • Experience with board preparation and committee coordination is highly desirable
  • Exposure to TechOne or similar systems is advantageous
Qualifications
  • Minimum: Senior Secondary Certificate of Education
  • Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or similar field
Contract Details
  • Hourly rate:$60–$70 per hour + super
  • Start date: ASAP (targeting 14 July)
  • Duration: Ongoing contract with potential for permanent placement
  • Location: Melbourne CBD (hybrid may be considered after initial period)
