Executive Assistant to CEO

Location: Sydney
Type: Permanent, Onsite
Start Date: Mid to Late January

About the Role

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level operational and professional support to the CEO of a major infrastructure organisation. This is a pivotal role ensuring the smooth functioning of the CEO’s office and supporting strategic initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage complex calendars, correspondence, and meeting preparation.
  • Coordinate Board and governance papers with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Track CEO and Executive Leadership Team commitments and ensure follow-through.
  • Lead and mentor administrative staff, promoting best practice and collaboration.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and manage travel arrangements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the CEO’s office with discretion and confidentiality.
About You

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an EA supporting C-suite executives in a large organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Board-level activities and governance processes.
Desirable:

  • Experience in a Government Business Enterprise (GBE).
  • Certificate/Diploma in Administration or related field.
