Chandler Macleod have teamed up with a local mining organisation to find their next Event Coordinator. Are you an organized, engaging, and adaptable professional, passionate about creating impactful events? We’re seeking a dedicated Event Coordinator to lead and coordinate a variety of exciting residential events across Cape Lambert, Dampier, Wickham, Pt Samson, Roebourne, and Karratha. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy stakeholder engagement, and take pride in delivering flawless experiences, this is your chance to shine!
As the Event Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and executing high-profile events such as Mental Health Week, International Men/Women’s Day, RUOK Day, Christmas, Easter, Christmas lunches, Family Day, and other community gatherings. Your expertise in liaising with local vendors and managing large groups of up to 450 attendees will ensure each event runs seamlessly. Your ability to manage speeches, adapt to changing needs, and handle on-the-spot adjustments will be crucial to your success.
Your key responsibilities will but not be limited to coordinating logistics, managing vendor relationships, overseeing event schedules, and engaging stakeholders at all levels. Flexibility and exceptional organizational skills are essential to handle diverse event requirements and ensure memorable experiences for all participants.
Required Skills:
- Experience in event coordination or project management or similar
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams
- Can work and effectively prioritise in a fast moving environment
- Comfortable managing large groups and handling dynamic situations
- Ability to adapt plans swiftly to meet changing needs
- Valid Class 3 Manual Driver’s License
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in coordinating large-scale events or community activities
- A "can do" attitude
- Willingness to work across multiple sites including Cape Lambert and Dampier (3 days at Cape Lambert, 2 days at Dampier)
- Ability to mobilize quickly and work within defined timeframes
