A government agency in Fremantle is seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Manager
to lead the technical delivery of a large-scale infrastructure project. This is a senior client-side engineering
role responsible for ensuring quality, compliance, and performance across all technical aspects of a complex, multi-disciplinary program.
This role suits someone with strong experience in project engineering, front-end engineering design (FEED), and ideally, a background in materials handling or port infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic technical leadership during design and delivery phases.
- Review and assess engineering designs and documentation from external consultants.
- Ensure all work meets Australian engineering standards and internal requirements.
- Develop technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and input into tenders.
- Lead engineering reviews and coordinate feedback across disciplines.
- Manage internal engineering resources as project demands increase.
- Support procurement activities by engaging with industry suppliers.
- Degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, or related discipline).
- 10+ years of engineering experience in project delivery environments.
- Experience in materials handling infrastructure(port facility experience highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) processes.
- Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams on large projects.
