About the Role

Contract Opportunity for an E&I Engineer specialising in analyser systems. This role is available until August 2026 and is primarily onsite, with some flexibility to work from home up to one day per week on a non-routine basis. You will provide essential technical support for analyser operations, oversee maintenance planning, and lead projects aimed at boosting analyser reliability and safety. The position involves mentoring technicians, supporting shutdown activities, and ensuring analyser systems operate at optimal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the engineering team supporting analyser systems
  • Coordinate with technicians responsible for analyser maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Schedule regular meetings to review analyser issues and provide support as needed
  • Monitor KPI metrics related to analyser performance and reliability
  • Offer technical guidance for analyser CAPEX projects and installations
  • Develop and refine maintenance routines and strategies to ensure ongoing analyser reliability
  • Lead analyser-related projects and manage shutdown activities safely and effectively
  • Support fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and system improvements across other E&I assets
  • Promote safety leadership and compliance with hazardous area standards
  • Potentially coordinate out-of-hours E&I activities to support operational needs
Must Haves
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the refinery or oil & gas industry
  • Hands-on field-based engineering experience
  • Broad knowledge of various analyser systems and types
  • Understanding of hazardous area classifications and electrical safety standards
  • Practical approach to troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Experience supporting analyser projects and shutdown planning
Nice to Have
  • Experience across different E&I roles, including instrumentation
  • Familiarity with other E&I systems beyond analysers would be beneficial
