Electrical Construction Supervisor

Location: Pilbara, Western Australia
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor
to join a major decarbonisation project team within a large-scale mining operation in the Pilbara.
This role will support the delivery of critical infrastructure upgrades across mining, port, rail, non-process infrastructure (NPI) and mobile fleet operations, contributing to a long-term emissions reduction strategy.
Reporting directly to the Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for supporting contractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, ensuring outcomes meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple contracting companies and site-based projects
- Review and approve Contractor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Conduct punch list walkdowns
- Manage electrical isolations and permit requirements
- Review and interpret project drawings and technical documentation
- Liaise with Superintendents, site teams, contractors and key stakeholders
- Coordinate with commissioning teams for handover and SIMOPS
- Conduct field leadership activities and safety interactions
- Ensure BMS obligations and compliance requirements are met
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
- Identify and manage workplace incidents promptly
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety & Environment policies
- Lead by example, promoting a strong safety culture and high-performance standards
- Support workforce development through mentoring and on-the-job coaching
- Foster teamwork and encourage diverse thinking to achieve project objectives
- WA A-Grade Electrical Licence (mandatory) or relevant tertiary qualification
- High Voltage Switching Certificate
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Controls
- Minimum 10+ years electrical experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within mining
- Strong experience in high voltage distribution networks (overhead & underground)
- Experience in fibre and communications networks
- Experience with completions management systems
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards, regulations and HS&E codes of practice
- Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- 12-month engagement
