Electrical and Control System Project Engineer

The Opportunity

Chandler Macleod are looking to appoint an experienced project engineer for a role within our clients Electrical & Control System Engineering team
with solid background in project management to execute critical E&C projects in 2026/2027.

About the role
· Interact with project owners and project sponsors to develop scope documents.
· Support the Project Lead with scope control, cost estimating, scheduling and cashflow forecasting.
· Interact with engineering team, vendors, Rio Tinto procurement, and contractors for completion of project
· Facilitate the development of SOW, Gantts, and detailed designs for projects with engineering teams.
· Identify and develop scopes boundaries for legacy and newly proposed projects.
· Engage with the Construction Advisors and Contractor to review construction methods and equipment.
· Project cost and schedule tracking including preparation of monthly report.
· Quality assurance to ensure contractor work meets owners scope requirements.
· Managing testing and performance verification, supported by documentation that validates project
effectiveness.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
· Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
· Knowledge of relevant Australian standards.
· Minimum 2-year experience as a project manager or project engineer.

· A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team. · Experience working on E&C projects. (Desirable) · Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills. · Familiarity working closely with construction contractors, quality specialists and site maintenance teams.
