Location: Southwest Region (Wagga, Narrandera)
Start Date: 27 January 2026
End Date: 2 April 2026 (strong potential for extension)
Work Structure: 9‑day fortnight
Hours: 8.5 hours per day / 76 hours per fortnight

About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Earthmoving Plant Operator to join their civil construction crew working across the Southwest region, including Wagga and Narrandera. This role supports major road construction projects and requires both machinery operation and labouring duties as part of a broader construction team.

This position involves regular travel and periods of living away from home. Camping away from the depot is essential, with accommodation provided as well as relevant allowances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of earthmoving machinery to support road construction projects
  • Perform general labouring tasks as part of a construction crew
  • Travel between depots and work sites as required
  • Participate in camping arrangements when working away from the home depot
  • Adhere to all site safety procedures and WHS requirements
Plant & Equipment You'll Operate
  • Loaders
  • Multi‑tyred rollers
  • Padfoot rollers
  • Smooth drum rollers
  • Mixers (as required)
Required Tickets & Licences
  • White Card
  • WOF – Workers on Foot
  • C Class Driver Licence (or above)
  • TC – Traffic Control (or willingness to obtain)
  • Demonstrated earthmoving plant operation experience
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in civil construction or roadworks
  • Ability to operate multiple plant types
  • Comfortable with labouring duties when required
  • Reliable, safety‑focused, and team‑oriented
  • Willing and able to camp away for work
