Development Engineer
Location: Coburg, VIC
Rate:$51.77 per hour + super
Contract Term: 22 December 2025 – 20 March 2026
Employment Type:  Short Term, part time hours (3 days a week)

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our team in Coburg for a short term, 3 day a week oppertunity. This role involves providing expert advice and support on engineering matters within a local government context, ensuring compliance with planning schemes and delivering high-quality outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and provide advice on development applications in line with the Planning Scheme.
• Manage engineering aspects of planning and development projects.
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Apply sound risk management and ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling within approved frameworks.

Skills & Experience

• Eligible to be a Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria (RPEV).
• Qualification in Civil Engineering(or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Planning Scheme requirements and local government processes.
• Demonstrated management skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
• Working with Children Check(mandatory).
• Previous local government experience in engineering highly desirable.
