Demand & Inventory Manager

My client, a powerhouse (pardon the pun) within the Energy Sector is looking for a ‘Demand & Inventory Manager’ to join their team for a 6-month period (the assignment could go beyond this).
 
Role:             Demand & Inventory Manager
Type:            6-month temporary assignment
Work type:    Hybrid
Rate:            $500-$600/day + Super  
Location:       Parramatta
 
  
Role purpose:

• Manage the ordering of goods and services in alignment with service level agreements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Appropriately forecast goods and services ensuring the best quality solutions, cost saving and value to the business.

 
Responsibilities:

• Facilitate demand planning to optimise product availability whilst balancing inventory levels
• Develop demand forecasts for identified contracts by reviewing historical activity trends, researching demand drivers etc
• Implement and lead strategic change initiatives across demand processes, procedures, and policies
• Identify and develop new ideas and participate in projects that improve the overall planning process
• Preparation of key KPI reports, and analysis on forecast accuracy and trends
• Manage supplier performance obligations
• Manage two direct reports

 
Requirements:

• Experience in a similar supply chain role
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
• Able to manage conflicting prioritises
• Strong time management/organisational skills
• Enjoys working in a face paced environment
• Willingness to travel to various sites (not a regular occurencce)
