About the Role
6 month contract, DIDO into Boddington.
We're looking for a talented Data Analyst / Reporting Specialist to join the Analytics & Optimisation Team on a contract basis. The role has become available to fill a critical resource gap and supports extracting, analysing, and visualising operational data to drive smarter decisions across mining operations. You’ll work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, delivering insights that enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring high accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and optimise SQL queries and views to support ongoing reporting needs.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis, including trend analysis, cost-benefit studies, and benchmarking.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and visual reports tailored for operational and leadership teams.
  • Interpret complex data into clear insights and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operational and business improvement teams to find opportunities for efficiency, safety, and productivity gains.
  • Provide timely data insights to support decision-making and project initiatives.
About You

  • Proven experience working within the mining industry, especially with operational data.
  • Strong skills in SQL programming and data management.
  • Experience with fleet management systems such as MineStar or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop insightful reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret complex datasets for actionable insights.
  • Good understanding of business improvement frameworks and process optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
