Customer Service Officer - Waste Services

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and supporting your community? Our client is seeking a Customer Service Officer to join their team, focusing on waste services and Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) programs.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Provide high-quality customer service via phone, email, and other channels.
• Assist residents with enquiries related to waste services and FOGO.
• Evaluate customer needs and determine the best course of action to resolve issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, policies, and procedures.
• Handle complaints professionally and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Contribute to the development of customer service policies and procedures.
• Support workplace health and safety standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and report service delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safety systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in customer service.
• Minimum 12 months in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Previous experience in local government.
• Ability to work flexible hours and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
