Customer Service Officer – Maternity Leave Contract
Do you love helping people, solving problems, and being the friendly face (or voice) that makes someone’s day easier? We’re looking for a motivated and approachable Customer Service Officer
to join our client’s team on a maternity leave contract.
This role is all about variety – no two days are the same! You’ll be the first point of contact for our community, supporting customers face-to-face, over the phone, and online. From answering enquiries, processing payments, and assisting with forms and applications, to keeping records up to date and supporting the smooth running of our office – you’ll be right at the heart of what we do.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering excellent customer service and handling enquiries with professionalism and care
- Providing administration support including preparing documents, filing, scanning and managing records
- Processing payments and handling cash with accuracy
- Assisting with applications, registrations and other customer transactions
- Keeping our databases up to date and accurate
- Working closely with your team to deliver quality outcomes and continuous improvements
- A genuine passion for customer service and making a positive impact
- Previous experience in a customer service role (face-to-face is a bonus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems
- Accuracy and attention to detail (especially with payments and record keeping)
- A team player who can also work independently when needed
- Certificate III in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Willingness to undergo a criminal history check
