Seeking an experienced Cultural Heritage Officer to support regional road infrastructure projects. You’ll work across planning, compliance, consultation, and training, ensuring alignment with legislation and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Cultural Heritage Management Plans
- Conduct field briefs, impact assessments, audits, and site investigations
- Advise stakeholders on policy, legislation, and compliance risks
- Consult and negotiate with Aboriginal Parties to support project delivery
- Manage external consultancies and oversee implementation of recommendations
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate cultural heritage documentation
- Deliver internal training on legislation and processes
Mandatory Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology, or similar
- White card, valid C-class driver’s licence, and required PPE
