Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for local government? Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive  
 Council Support Officer to provide high-level administrative support to elected Council members and ensure the smooth coordination of Council and Committee meetings.
  Key Responsibilities: 
  
- Prepare and distribute Council and Committee meeting agendas and minutes within set timeframes.
 - Manage the electronic document management system for Council business papers, minutes, and resolutions.
 - Act as the primary contact for the online business paper system, supporting users and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
 - Process service requests and reconcile expenses.
 - Coordinate attendance at conferences, events, and professional development activities.
 - Administer the Public Voice and Public Briefing Policy, including scheduling public presentations.
 - Maintain relevant web and intranet content.
 - Support continuous improvement of systems and processes.
 
- Proven experience in executive or administrative support, particularly in meeting coordination and documentation.
 - Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including document formatting and data management.
 - High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
 - Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
 - Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
 - Flexibility to work evenings and additional hours as required.
 
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) and meeting procedures.
 - Experience in local government or similar environments.
 - Skills in developing and refining administrative systems.
