Construction Officer / Plant Operator

About the Role
We’re looking for a Construction Officer / Plant Operator to join the team on a temporary basis, supporting the construction and maintenance of vital water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on skills in plant operation and physical labour, who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to public service projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Operate plant and machinery including backhoes, tipper trucks, and front-end loaders
• Assist with constructing and maintaining water and wastewater systems
• Perform physical labour and site preparations as required
• Work safely and efficiently on site in accordance with industry standards
• Support team members in delivering high-quality infrastructure services

About You
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, safety-conscious worker with relevant experience and a positive attitude. You’ll need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, team spirit, and a commitment to safety.
 
You’ll need:

• Experience operating plant such as backhoes, tipper trucks, or loaders
• Ability to perform physical labour and work outdoors in various conditions
• Class C driver licence and white card
• Current immunisations against Hepatitis A and B (or willingness to get vaccinated)
