About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Infringement Review Officer
to join a local government team on a short-term contract.
In this role, you will assess and respond to applications for internal review of infringement notices in an accurate, informative, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process internal review applications in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Ensure responses are accurate, clear, and delivered within required timeframes.
- Maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and organisational policies.
- Promote a positive image of local government through professional and courteous service.
- Create and maintain accurate records of all business activities related to the role.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of the infringement lifecycle and relevant legislation (e.g., Infringement Act 2006, Road Safety Road Rules 2017).
- Proven experience managing a high volume of internal review requests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with CM9 and Authority systems desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent written communication and accuracy in correspondence.
- Knowledge of infringement processes and legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative roles with a strong customer service focus.
- Competence in PC-based applications and relevant systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
