Position: Infringement Review Officer
Location:  Footscray, VIC
Rate:$45 per hour + super
Contract: Short-term (until February 2026)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Infringement Review Officer to join a local government team on a short-term contract.
In this role, you will assess and respond to applications for internal review of infringement notices in an accurate, informative, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process internal review applications in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Ensure responses are accurate, clear, and delivered within required timeframes.
  • Maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and organisational policies.
  • Promote a positive image of local government through professional and courteous service.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of all business activities related to the role.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the infringement lifecycle and relevant legislation (e.g., Infringement Act 2006, Road Safety Road Rules 2017).
  • Proven experience managing a high volume of internal review requests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with CM9 and Authority systems desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
Key Selection Criteria
  • Excellent written communication and accuracy in correspondence.
  • Knowledge of infringement processes and legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative roles with a strong customer service focus.
  • Competence in PC-based applications and relevant systems.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
