Completions Engineer

Chandler Macleod, in partnership with our Tier 1 Mining client is seeking experianced Completions Engineers  to supporting  tailings dam QA development  across  wall raise facilities. This position will be based in Brisbane CBD or Gladstone QLD, with a Monday to Friday roster for a casual 3-5 year engagement with potential extension. This position will oversee the implementation and ongoing operation of the  Smart Completions System  across the Gladstone portfolio. This role will work closely with construction contractors, owners’ teams, and engineering stakeholders to ensure quality systems and processes are implemented consistently and effectively.


Key Accountabilities

• Support the Project Lead in developing the Smart Completions System to reflect construction and commissioning requirements
• Assist construction contractors and self-perform teams with implementation of QA processes and documentation
• Work closely with key engineering stakeholders, with a strong focus on  D5 engineers  supporting the tailings facilities
• Undertake site inspections to ensure system alignment and compliance
• Track production, performance, and KPIs across assigned projects
• Identify, manage, and report on risks and opportunities associated with QA and completions activities

 
You will have:

Bachelor of Engineering  or  proven experience in QA / systems implementation

Minimum  5 years’ experience  working with quality systems in construction, commissioning, or capital delivery environments

Demonstrated experience in:

• Project management
• Contractor and stakeholder management
• Project execution with commissioning exposure
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
• Proactive, efficient work ethic with a solutions-focused mindset
• Strong planning, prioritisation, time management, and organisational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail, particularly with plan interpretation and construction design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex issues
• High level of personal integrity and accountability
