Community Education Officer – Inspire Sustainable Mining in WA

Location: Pinjarra, Western Australia
Contract: 12-Month - Fixed Term | Up to 24 hours per week
Rate:$49.00 per hour + superannuation
Start Date: ASAP

We’re seeking a passionate Community Education Officer to engage, educate, and inspire. You’ll deliver engaging tours and presentations that showcase the bauxite-to-alumina-to-aluminium journey, promoting awareness of responsible mining and regional impact.

About the Role

• Plan and deliver informative tours of mining and processing facilities.
  
  
• Build and maintain business knowledge and processes to ensure tours are current, safe, and successful.
  
  
• Develop and deliver comprehensive tour materials, including documentation, speaking notes, routes, written content, merchandise, presentations, Q&As, and interactive tools to enhance engagement.
  
  
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the WA tour program and provide recommendations for improvement.
  
  

About You

• Experience in education, community engagement, communications, or tourism.
  
  
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
  
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with a current WA Driver’s Licence.
  
  
• Knowledge of bauxite, alumina, aluminium, and Western Australia’s regional landscape is an advantage.
