About the Role
This fully onsite position is based in Melbourne and includes some domestic and international travel. You will also take part in global calls and meetings, including those held outside standard business hours. The role supports a large aerostructures manufacturing facility and involves close collaboration with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver site-wide communications that support business objectives.
• Work closely with the managing director and senior leadership team on internal messages and strategic communications.
• Develop stories for internal and external audiences that highlight people, capability and achievements.
• Support communications relating to an upcoming Enterprise Agreement.
• Coordinate with global counterparts to ensure alignment across regions.
• Contribute to integrated supply chain storytelling across Australian subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to produce cohesive content.
• Support content creation for a major centenary campaign scheduled for 2027.
• Produce a range of communications including internal updates, web stories, social media content, videos and news releases.
• Pitch media to generate neutral to positive coverage in local, national and trade outlets.
Required Experience and Skills
• Seven to ten years’ experience in corporate communications within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong background in employee communications and media relations.
• Ability to coach and prepare senior executives for internal and external engagements, including media.
• Exceptional writing, editing and media skills.
• Strong interpersonal capability suited to a matrixed environment.
• Highly organised, self-directed and confident managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent time management and planning skills.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
Preferred Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated success producing high-quality communications in a multifaceted organisation.
• Proven ability to manage complex workloads while maintaining high standards.
• Strong relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
