About the Client:
Government department tasked with shaping Australian research for the nation’s economic, social, environmental and cultural benefit. Currently seeking for talented Communication Officer to join their busy team for a casual 6 months temporary assignment.
About the Role
As a Communications Officer, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a communications strategy in support of a major policy transformation. In addition, your key duties are as follow:
- Develop and implement communications strategies and plans
- Prepare high-quality, clear and accessible written content aligned to approved communications strategies and plans
- Maintain strong internal networks to facilitate development and delivery of effective, targeted and timely communications activities
- Support the development and delivery of internal communications products and activities
- Contribute to delivering improved processes and procedures within the team
- Contribute to project planning and management of communications-related work
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications and/or public relations and a minimum 2 years’ experience in a communications-related role
- High level experience in writing content suitable for a range of audiences and delivered through established communication channels
- Previous Australian Public Service or government experience within a communications team is highly regarded
- Experience in developing and delivering internal communications strategies to support the implementation of major policy transformations.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
Benefits

- $60 - $65 per hour + super
