Collections Officer

My client, located in North Sydney is looking for a ‘Collections Officer’ to join their growing team on a fixed-term contract.
 
 
Role:                 Collections Officer  
Type:                Fixed-Term Contract
Salary:              $75,000 - $80,000 + Super
Location:           North Sydney (near public transport)
Work type:        Hybrid – One day from home



Responsibilities:

• Contact customers with overdue accounts via phone and email
• Negotiate payment arrangements
• Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant legislation
• Maintain accurate records via the CRM system
• Monitor and follow-up on outstanding debts to ensure timely recovery
• Provide empathetic and professional support to customers
• Maintain positive relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies

 
Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous debt collections experience (short and long term debt)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and organisational ability
• Experience working to targets and meeting deadlines
• Resilience and empathy
• Familiarity with financial systems and Microsoft Office suite
