Collections Officer – Business Banking

Are you a confident and experienced collections professional with a background in business banking? Chandler Macleod is partnering with a prominent financial institution to recruit a  Collections Officer  to support their  Business Banking  collections team. You’ll play a key role in recovering overdue accounts, contacting clients, and helping them bring their accounts back in order, all while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound collection calls to business customers with overdue accounts
• Engage professionally with clients to understand their situation and agree on payment solutions
• Focus on  business loans and asset finance  products
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
• Accurately document all collection activities and customer interactions
• Liaise with internal teams to escalate or resolve account issues
• Maintain a high level of customer service while achieving recovery targets

Requirements

• 2–3 years’ experience in collections, credit control, or account recovery
• Exposure to  business banking  products, especially  asset finance and loans
• Confident communication and negotiation skills, particularly over the phone
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume call environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work onsite at  Darling Harbour  for the first 2 months (training and onboarding)
• Flexibility to transition to a  hybrid model  after initial period (a few days work from home)
