About the Role
A contract opportunity for a Coastal Infrastructure Engineer to support coastal, drainage, waterways and foreshore management programs. The role provides technical assessment, engineering input and site investigations across coastal zone issues including beach erosion, beach nourishment, foreshore and dune restoration, and canal and foreshore infrastructure. You will work within a multidisciplinary coastal planning team, contributing to management plans, design reviews, capital works input and technical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical advice and undertake investigations for coastal and foreshore management issues including erosion, nourishment and dune restoration.
• Conduct field investigations, site inspections and data gathering to support coastal infrastructure projects and customer enquiries.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations and presentations on engineering and scientific investigations.
• Support development of capital and operational works budgets for coastal infrastructure projects.
• Provide stakeholder engagement and advice on coastal infrastructure and coastal management issues.
• Contribute to a positive, high‑performance, continuous‑improvement team environment.
Key Selection Criteria
• Knowledge and experience in coastal infrastructure planning and management.
• Experience in coastal infrastructure design and site/field inspections.
• Strong analytical, evaluation and decision‑making skills.
• Experience preparing and presenting technical reports.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Degree in Coastal or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and a current C‑Class driver licence.
