Change Management Lead – Health & Safety Transformation

Short-Term Contract Until 30 June | $68 p/h + Super
A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Change Management Lead
to join a major tertiary institution and drive a significant Health & Safety transformation. This role is based full‑time onsite at the City campus, with flexibility for occasional WFH days where quiet focus time (e.g., documentation) is required and agreed.
This is a short-term contract through to 30 June, ideal for a seasoned change professional looking to lead a high-impact project within a complex environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Technical Services and Facilities, you will partner closely with senior leadership—including the ADVC‑A—to design and implement a comprehensive structural change management plan. Your work will support the adoption of new practices and procedures across Technical Services, directly enhancing the College’s Teaching and Research capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a health & safety change management plan for Technical Services.
- Conduct and document a current-state analysis of competencies, capabilities, and operating practices.
- Create a detailed risk register based on current-state findings.
- Develop and implement strategies to support STEM teams in risk mitigation.
- Build a future-state competency and capability framework aligned with College goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the impact and enable successful adoption.
- Provide expert OCM advice and updates to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience in Organisational Change Management (OCM), ideally with HR exposure.
- Strong background in change management methodologies and practices.
- Proven experience working within large, complex organisations(education, government, corporate, etc.).
- Excellent communication, analysis, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence and guide teams through significant operational change.
