Catering Assistant - Makeup/Washup

Join Our Team as a Catering Attendant at a Leading Food Manufacturing Facility Near Brisbane Airport

Chandler Macleod is seeking dedicated and experienced Catering Attendants to become part of a dynamic team at a large catering facility located near Brisbane Airport.
Our client is a highly successful and reputable food manufacturing company that provides meals to some of the world’s largest airlines.
As a Catering Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the facility, with responsibilities across two key areas:

1. Wash-Up Area:

• Operate industrial dishwashers to clean and sanitize food carts and related equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash-up area
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaned items in line with company policies and HACCP guidelines

2. Make-Up Area:

• Assemble and prepare food carts according to airline specifications
• Plate meals and set up food trays with precision and care
• Replenish stock items and ensure correct recording of inventory
• Perform quality control checks to maintain the highest standards

In addition to these core duties, you will be required to uphold company policies related to HACCP and OHS, in compliance with Federal and State Government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Work efficiently under tight time constraints to meet internal KPIs
• Prepare food carts, ensuring they are ready for dispatch
• Monitor and replenish stock levels, ensuring accuracy in inventory management
• Perform quality control checks to maintain high standards of food presentation and safety
• Clean and maintain carts and equipment in the wash-up area
• Complete data entry as per customer requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Recent experience in food manufacturing or catering environments
• Flexibility to work across day and afternoon shifts
• Availability to be on-call for additional shifts or overtime
• A reliable car and driver’s license
• Full working rights and availability to work up to 5 days a week
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
• A passion for maintaining high standards and a keen attention to detail
