Our client is a market-leading provider of mechanical power transmission and motion control solutions, supplying products to key industries including manufacturing, mining, food & beverage, and energy.
Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to manage and grow industrial accounts across NSW and ACT. This role is ideal for a self-driven sales professional with a background in technical or mechanical product sales who thrives on building relationships and solving problems for industrial clients.
About the role:
- Drive new business acquisition across OEM, distributor, and end-user segments
- Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell technical solutions across bearings, gearboxes, couplings, drives, and linear motion components
- Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor solutions and provide site-specific support
- Deliver sales forecasts, manage your pipeline, and hit key revenue and margin targets
- Regularly travel to client sites across the territory for meetings, site surveys, and product demos
- 3–5+ years of business development or technical sales experience in industrial or mechanical components
- Background in selling power transmission products (e.g. motors, gearboxes, bearings, linear motion systems, or drives)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a consultative approach
- Demonstrated success working with OEMs, contractors, or MRO customers
- Comfortable managing a full sales cycle and working across both direct and distributor channels
- Based in Sydney with willingness to travel across NSW/ACT as required
- Base salary between $110,000 and $130,000 + super
- Uncapped commission structure – OTE of $150,000–$180,000+
