Business Analyst Finance Transformation
 
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support a finance transformation project based in Melbourne, focusing on process mapping, design, and optimisation. The role involves a "lift and shift" to reintegrate outsourced finance operations, infrastructure, and workforce in-house, followed by integration. The candidate must have finance expertise and experience in complex operational transitions within the Australian market.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Map and analyse vendor-managed finance processes to create as-is process maps.
  • Design optimised to-be finance processes aligned with Australian regulations and company goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, IT, HR) and the vendor for requirements gathering and knowledge transfer.
  • Support the transfer of finance operations, systems, and workforce, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Plan and support integration of finance systems and tools into the company’s infrastructure.
  • Analyse data to validate process improvements and support decision-making.
  • Assist with change management, including training and process documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during transition and integration.
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years in finance roles in Australia.
  • Expertise in finance processes (e.g., accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting) and systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP).
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Experience in process optimisation (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and "lift and shift" projects.
  • Knowledge of Australian financial regulations (e.g., AASB, GST).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, and change management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field. Certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus.
 
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with vendor-managed transitions and data migration.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
  • Understanding of Australian workplace laws (e.g., Fair Work Act).

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments and Australian business norms.
 
Location: Melbourne CBD
Job Type: 12 months with possible extension
Benefits: 3 days on-site, 2 days work from home
Rate:$650 - $850 per day and required to have own ABN
