Broiler Service Person

Chandler Macleod is seeking a Broiler Service Person to support local broiler farms in delivering high-quality production, Tamworth.

About the role

As a Broiler Service Person, you will provide technical advice to the local contract broiler farms with a focus on ensuring the efficient and effective operation of these farms, helping to meet the production needs of our processing plant while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and biosecurity:

• Maximise production outcomes from livestock through expert husbandry including breeding, care and management of poultry
• Implement and uphold company Minimum Operating Standards (MOS), quality, safety, and environmental policies
• Communicate effectively with contract growers, company personnel, and management
• Analyse problems, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement
• Train contractors and staff as needed
• Be available on call to support farm operations as required
• Oversee receival of day-old chicks, grow-out phases, pick-up, cleanout, and maintenance of farm and shed equipment

About you
We’re looking for a proactive, reliable, and hands-on Broiler Service Person who is eager to grow their career within a dynamic and expanding organisation. You will bring:

• 2-3 years of experience in solid experience in broiler farm management, with animal husbandry or poultry educational background (preferred)
• A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Poultry Production or a higher agricultural qualification, is preferred.
• Strong commitment to animal welfare and farm biosecurity
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of Quality Systems and WHSE procedures
• Understanding of how daily activities impact Animal Welfare, Biosecurity, and the Environment
• Full Australian work rights (Permanent Residency or Citizenship)
• Current driver’s licence
