Our client AGL are seeking a Boiler Maker / Welder to work closely with the Delivery and Production teams to ensure Bioenergy products are built in alignment with relevant legislation, codes and to meet the customers' needs. 

Reporting to the Warehouse & Fabrication Lead, the Boiler Maker / Welder is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling and welding steel to construct and/or repair metal structures that form part of the variety of Bioenergy products.

This is a contract opportunity for three months.  

What you’ll be doing:
•    Cut, prepare, weld and assemble metal (mainly stainless steel) as per the product requirements
•    Read drawings and applicable documents to assess the processes, materials and tools needed
•    Perform risk assessments and maintain HSE standards and expectations
•    Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power tools, measuring devices, calipers and micrometers
•    Support the testing of products when required by the Production team
•    Understand best practice work processes, relevant industry standards and Bioenergy work practices and values in general

About You:
You will be an experienced Boiler Maker / Welder with experience with stainless steel piping and keen to work autonomously and as part of a close knit team. You will take great pride in your work and be willing to take on additional training if required.

What you’ll have:
•    Proven Boiler Maker / Welding experience
•    Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
•    A high level of mechanical and technical aptitude
•    Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
•    Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
•    High risk forklift and Construction induction Card certification
•    A 7G welding ticket is preferred but not essential
•    Stainless steel experience with tig/mig is preferred but not essential
