About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team and play a key role in a major system implementation project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a transformation initiative that will enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency across the organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and project team to ensure a seamless transition from the legacy system to the new upgradeed ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Chart of Accounts (COA) Mapping: Align legacy COA with the new ERP structure to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Data Migration & Validation: Prepare, cleanse, and migrate financial data; perform reconciliations to confirm accuracy.
- Report Design & Specification: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and document financial and management reports.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Support user acceptance testing (UAT), identify issues, and assist with resolution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with finance and IT teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Skills & Experience
- Solid experience with major finance systems (ERP platforms preferably SAP)
- CPA Qualified required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data cleansing techniques.
- State Government background in ERP Project or Digital Transformation,
- Strong reconciliation skills to ensure data integrity during migration.
- Familiarity with report design and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience in testing processes, including UAT and troubleshooting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
