Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert HR advice to leaders and managers, especially on workforce planning, restructures, and policy implementation.
  • Lead the delivery of proactive HR services aligned with organisational goals.
  • Advise on complex employee relations matters, including grievances, misconduct, and investigations.
  • Support workforce strategy initiatives aimed at improving performance, culture, and organisational development.
  • Monitor HR procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Support change management projects and workforce reforms.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, including with employee representative bodies and external agencies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by developing HR policies, procedures, and best practice benchmarks.
About You
  • Proven experience in providing high-level HR partnership within a state government environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex reports and provide clear advice.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations, grievances, misconduct, and investigations with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, legislation, industrial relations, and compliance requirements.
  • Health care sector experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • A post-secondary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a commitment to organisational values.
