About the Role
We’re currently on the lookout for a talented Multimedia Communications Advisor to join a dynamic team working with our client. This is a 3-month contract based in Melbourne or Canberra.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies for both internal teams and external audiences.
  • Lead video projects, including planning, filming, editing, and post-production.
  • Create compelling graphics and multimedia content for various digital platforms.
  • Manage content for the clients internet and intranet sites, ensuring it’s accurate and consistent.
  • Oversee social media channels—content creation, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Draft leadership messages, news stories, video scripts, and internal notices that hit the right tone.
  • Review and edit content to ensure clarity and quality.
  • Use data and digital trends to enhance audience engagement and optimise campaigns.
  • Coordinate communication campaigns and support content planning.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective messaging.
About You

  • Proven experience in government or corporate communications, with a focus on multimedia content production and social media management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, media, or a related field.
  • Skilled in creating and managing social media strategies, including content scheduling and analytics.
  • Excellent written skills with attention to detail—proofreading, editing, and storytelling.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as graphic design and video editing software.
  • Knowledge of Government communication protocols and best practices.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
