About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Case Manager to join our team in Canberra for a 6-month assignment. You will play a key role in supporting injured or ill employees through their recovery and return-to-work journey. This role involves coordinating workplace rehabilitation programs and ensuring a smooth, timely, and sustainable return to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, coordinate, and monitor workplace rehabilitation programs for injured or ill employees.
- Connect and collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the return-to-work process.
- Promote the health benefits of good work and early intervention strategies.
- Encourage employer commitment to rehabilitation and facilitate early intervention.
- Assist employers in providing suitable employment options for recovering employees.
- Engage and manage workplace rehabilitation providers when appropriate.
- Coordinate responses to requests for information regarding the employee’s injury, illness, and rehabilitation progress.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure completion of all relevant workers’ compensation documentation.
About You
- Mandatory: Baseline Security Clearance and Australian Citizen
- Comcare claims or rehabilitation case management experience is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of workplace rehabilitation principles and relevant legislation.
- Empathy and resilience when supporting individuals through challenging circumstances.
