We’re currently looking for a proactive APS6 HR Systems Support Officer to join a crucial government agency based in Geelong. This six-month assignment (with the possibility of extension) is ideal for someone with a passion for project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and systems support. Due to an upcoming system upgrade and process review, this role has become available to help ensure smooth delivery and system functionality. If you're someone who enjoys working on impactful projects and making a difference, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update project documentation, including plans, risk logs, and reports, following agency frameworks.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to inform project decisions, policy refinement, and service improvements.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress, identifying issues, and recommending practical solutions.
  • Identify risks, escalate concerns, and support mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring clear, inclusive communication with diverse groups.
  • Help configure, test, and validate system updates, working closely with ICT and HR teams.
  • Develop training materials, user guides, and assist end-users during rollout phases.
  • Find opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance system features for better service delivery.
  • Support compliance with digital, data, and HR policy frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of organisational skills, communication flair, and systems savvy. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in project coordination and management, ideally within government or human services settings.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across different audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of leading or supporting complex messaging and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and MS Project.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and an understanding of policy and service design principles, especially in disability services.
  • Familiarity with public sector frameworks aligned with the NDIS Act 2013 and Public Service Act 1999.
  • Experience supporting HR or IT systems (like SuccessFactors, TechnologyOne, or similar platforms) is desirable.
Why Apply?
